Labconco Protector Laboratory Hood 48801
**This Labconco Fume Hood has been tested for basic functionality. Lights and service outlets fully functional. Base cabinet & blower are not included. Unit has some stains and wear from normal use. Back panel screen has some rust buildup & front bottom frame is slightly warped. See photos for further details.
The Protector Laboratory Hood is designed to meet the needs of the laboratory scientist. The laboratory fume hood has been designed to
effectively contain toxic, noxious, or other harmful materials when properly installed maintaining safe airflow.
The Protector offers many unique features to enhance safety, performance, and visibility. The hood features by-pass airflow design that allows the hood face velocity to remain relatively stable as the sash is closed. Airflow is diverted behind the front panel and under the air foil to help control fluctuations in face velocity, which occur as the sash is closed.
These hoods are suitable for providing personal protection needed for general chemistry applications involving fumes and vapors. They meet the SEFA-1 standard of a low velocity, high performance hood and may be safely operated as low as 60 fpm.
